TRADE: NAHL Gens Acquire Bryceon Lago from Chippewa.

Jan 23, 2023

Attleboro, Mass. – The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce an addition to the roster via a trade with the Chippewa Steel. The Steel have agreed to send Bryceon Lago, a 2004 defenseman to the Generals.

This season Lago has recorded 6 points on 1 goal and 5 assists in 33 games played. Committed to Brown University (NCAA DI) Lago measures 5’9, 154 pounds and is a left hand shot.

President of Hockey Operations and NAHL Head Coach Bryan Erikson had this to say about Lago. “Bryceon is a very skilled puck moving D man that doesn’t shy away from physical play.  We expect him to jump right in this weekend and play huge minutes.”

This isn’t the only mid-season trade the Generals have made this year. Jake LaRusso (North Iowa), Emerson Miller (Corpus Christi), and Ryan Remick (Chippewa) have all been added to the Gens via trade at various points throughout the campaign.

“We have had roster flexibility the past few weeks and Matt (Dibble) has been very patient in making sure we make the right move.  When Bryceon became available Matt made the deal happen.  It’s why he is the best GM in the league.  He knows what we like and need and gets it done.” Added Erikson

Erikson ended by saying “This solidifies an already good backend as we make a run for the Robertson Cup.”

This weekend January 27th and 28th the Generals travel to Maryland to take on the first place Black Bears where Lago is expected to make his Gens debut. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. both nights at Piney Orchard Arena. You can also catch the action on HockeyTV.
