The Northeast Generals are proud to announce the acquisition of 2005-born forward Luke Drury from the NAHL’s Shreveport Mudbugs in exchange for assets.
Luke, the son of former NHL’er and now President and GM of the New York Rangers, Chris Drury, evenly split his 2024-25 season, playing 15 games for each the USHL’s Tri-City Storm followed by the Mudbugs. He added 5 points (1g-4a) and 32 PIMS throughout that span.
“Luke is committed locally to Brown. We have had a lot of success in our relationship with the school and it’s great to get Luke here. He is a bit of a throwback. He’s got that old-school work ethic, old-school hockey IQ. Just a really smart young man both on and off the ice. We’re really excited to add Luke to the Generals. Our staff was dialed in even prior to the draft to be able to acquire two impact players, the second being Drew Gibbons,” said Head Coach and GM, Bryan Erikson.
Prior to making the jump to the junior ranks, Drury, a 5’8 174lbs, left-shot forward, grew his game through the USHS-Prep system playing three years with Brunswick School, culminating with the captaincy in the 2023-24 campaign.
Drury is committed to NCAA DIV I – Brown University.
The Generals would lie to welcome Luke and his family to the community of Canton and the #GensFamily.
