The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are excited to announce the tendering of standout forward, Sixten Jennersjö. Sixten is from Ekerö, Sweden and has been a dynamic player at Mount St. Charles for the past 2 seasons.
The 5’11” forward came to Mount St. Charles in 2019-2020 and made an immediate impact on one of the top teams in the nation. In 52 games played Sixten had 18 goals, 25 assists, for 43 points. His play earned him a commitment to Long Island University where he will join current Generals Captain, Dylan Schuett. Sixten took another big step in his development during the 2020-21 season under the direction of Matt Plante. In 23 games so far Sixten has 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points.
“This is huge tender for the Generals. We are appreciative of the support Coach Plante and Coach O’Connor gave us in our pursuit of Sixten. A large portion of the credit goes to our new GM Matt Dibble. He was on Sixten very early and it was a long process to get to signing a tender. Sixten is the exact type of person and player we are looking for as we continue to build the Generals into a winning organization. Really excited to have Sixten wear the Generals blue and orange in 2021-22,” said Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
General Manager Matt Dibble added “I am thrilled to get Sixten to the Generals as I believe he can make an immediate impact both on and off the ice. Sixten is a skilled, creative, cerebral hockey player that will fit into the Generals style of play on day 1. Mount does a great job preparing their guys for Junior Hockey and we don’t expect Sixten to be an exception.”
The Generals currently have 2 former Mount St. Charles players on their roster in Ryan Gordon and Jackson McCarthy. The organization looks forward to continuing to build a great working relationship between the two programs.
