Northeast Generals Continue To Build

May 1, 2016

The Northeast Generals have spent the past 30 days identifying the best fits for their team both on and off the ice.  A few recent tenders have highlighted just that.  The latest additions to the team are Forward Colin Bilek who played last year in the USPHL Premier for the Rochester Jr. Americans and Defenseman Joe Kinsella who played in the same league but for the New Jersey Hitmen.

Bilek had almost a point per game as a Captain with the Americans.  “He is a great kid,” according to Coach Bryan Erikson.  “He is one of the more complete players we have signed.  He does everything well, blocks shots, works hard and can put the puck in the net.  The fact that he is an outstanding student just makes it that much easier as he looks towards his College hockey future.”

Just as the Generals added to the front end the addition of Kinsella to the backend is a huge step for the franchise.  The 6’2” defenseman has a rare blend of size and speed.  He can also put up points which is evident in that he had 63 points in 79 career games in the USPHL.  “Joe, like Colin, brings that built in leadership quality we are looking for,” Erikson added.  “He is a proven player, who has D1 ability and Ivy League Grades.  He is a franchise type player and we couldn’t be happier to have added Joe to the Generals.”

The Northeast Generals will play out of the New England Sports Village in North Attleboro, MA.  Season tickets are now on sale at ww.northeastgenerals.com.
