The Northeast Generals are excited to announce the tendering of Northeast Generals U18 Forward John Mussella. The Bethlehem, PA native joined the Generals this year following U18 Head Coach Eric Progen whom he previously played for with the Valley Forge Minutemen.
The 2018-2019 season saw John develop his game under the eye of Coach Progen “John has consistently improved every step of the way. He works very hard and it pays off. He needed to work on the defensive side of the puck the most and it has been a real focus for him. He keeps getting better and I am very excited for John to take this next step in his development. The improvement needs to continue but I am very confident in John’s willingness to work hard both on an off the ice.” Said U18 Head Coach and NAHL Assistant Coach Eric Progen.
So far in 2019-2020 season, the first for the Full Season U18 Generals, Musella leads the team with 12 goals and has added 18 assists for 30 points.
NAHL Head Coach Bryan Erikson said “John has been practicing with us a lot and his offensive game is there already. He still needs to work on battles on the walls and being stronger on the puck but I am very confident in the work he is putting in with Eric both at U18 and NAHL practice. It’s great that we are able to tender from within our own organization. John is a great kid that we think will have a big impact for us.”
Musella joins other recent Generals players tendering with the NAHL Northeast Generals. John join teammate Adam Smith and NA3HL leading scorer Kolye Bankauskas.
