Generals Tender Holderness Standout Waterman

Nov 6, 2020

The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League are excited to announce the tender signing of Power Forward Jake Waterman. The Boston, MA native has been a standout at The Holderness School in New Hampshire. The 6’2″ left shot plays a high energy game and can put the puck in the net. In 2019-20 the 2002 had 10 goals in 26 games and will look to bolster that total in 2020-21 for the Bulls.

“Being a proud alumni of Holderness myself, it is great to be adding a player from such a great school with a fantastic coach in Alan Thompson. Jake is a player we have liked for a few years. He is long and has a great stride. Very fast and quick to get to full speed. And we have loved that he has improved his strength and his willingness to get physical. We strongly feel that Jake’s best hockey is in front of him and are excited to watch him this year with the Bulls. He should be a dominant force at the prep level and should be able to step right in and contribute to our team next year.” Said Head Coach/GM Bryan Erikson.

Erikson continued “Obviously we have not had the start we had hoped for this year. We have, like a lot of teams, dealt with injuries and Covid and haven’t had our full roster for any games yet this year. We think we will be a very good team once we are at 100% in the next few weeks. Having said that we will lose a lot of forwards to NCAA hockey next year so it is very important that we focus on bringing in Forwards. And goal scoring has been a concern for us so adding Jake, who we think has a game that translates to the NA level, is huge.”

Holderness plays in the Lakes Region and is located near Plymouth, New Hampshire.
