Generals tender Brighton Star Adam Conquest

Jan 22, 2018

The Northeast Generals are thrilled to announce the tender signing of Michigan Standout Adam Conquest. Adam, Assistant Captain, currently leads the way for Brighton High School in Brighton, Michigan. He currently has 11 goals to go along with 12 assists through the teams first 13 games.

2017 was a big year for Adam. He helped lead Brighton High School to their 4th D1 State Championship with 38 points (17 goals) in the teams 29 games. In addition Adam was drafted by the Des Moines Buccaneers in the 5th round of the USHL draft. If winning the State Championship and being drafted high in the USHL draft weren’t enough, Adam also committed to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at Bowling Green.

Talking to Mihockey.com back in June Adam had this to say:

“I picked BGSU because I see it as an up-and-coming hockey program that has high potential in the future,” Conquest said “and with that means an opportunity for me to be a player that can help bring more success to the program.”

The Brighton High School product – he posted 38 points in 29 games as the Bulldogs claimed the D1 state title – said he sees similarities to his current team in BGSU.

“The coaching staff is just like Brighton’s and that’s what I like, a team and player-to-player relationship that grows past college,” Conquest said. “I’m very excited for the the capability to be a Falcon and knowing the work and opportunity that is now presented to me. I’m excited for the atmosphere each and every game and hoping to bring success along with that.”

Adam joins the Generals where another Brighton Alum has done quite well for himself. Northeast Generals Captain Colin Bilek (Captian in both 2016-2017 and 2017-2018) was also Captain at Brighton High School and he himself recently committed to play Division 1 College Hockey at West Point. Colin has 76 points in his first 97 NAHL games (32 goals).

“Obviously we love the talent that Brighton Hockey has produced with Colin Bilek and Adam Conquest. They are both very high end players. But they are also amazing young men. Brighton has done such a great job of developing these kids off the ice that we are excited to continue what we hope is a long tradition of having a player from Brighton, MI in our locker room.” said Generals GM Bryan Erikson.

“We think Adam is a super high end player that will have an immediate impact on our roster. We are losing some key players next year and think Adam has the skill and locker room presence to help off set some of those losses. He’s a great skater that isn’t afraid to throw his body around. He is going to be a great addition to our team.” Erikson added.
