The Northeast Generals of the NAHL are excited to announce the tendering of 2004 D man Jack DeMoura. Jack is a true Ladder Of Development story. He came to us from a local program and played for our 16U team and this year is the Captain of the 18U team. Jack is also playing on the NA3HL and just this week played in his first 2 NAHL games as an Affiliate Player.
DeMoura from Taunton, MA played for the Rhode Island Hitmen who also play inside the New England Sports Village, the home of the Northeast Generals. Small in stature, DeMoura plays a BIG game. He is a physical presence at all times on the ice (as can be seen from his 21 penalty minutes in 2 NAHL games).
“I am very excited for not only Jack but the entire Generals organization. He is a dedicated person and player that has done a tremendous job of working hard and improving over the past 2 years. Eric Progen has been a huge asset for his development with the 18U team and Darryl Locke with the NA3 has given Jack a real chance to show he can play at the Junior Hockey level. Jack is an amazing kid and I think with his skating and physicality he can be a huge asset for us next season as we lose 2 key NAHL defenseman.” Said Northeast Generals Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
18U Head Coach and NAHL Associate Head Coach Eric Progen added “Jack comes to the rink each day with great enthusiasm to learn and get better, both in the classroom and on the ice. He has improved throughout this season and has taken a leadership role with our team. He has earned the opportunity to play in the North American Hockey League and I look forward to continuing to Coach him at the next level.”
DeMoura joins current teammate Nolan Zotter and former teammate Tyler Ramm as all three have tendered with the NAHL Generals for the 2022-23 season.
