The team’s leading scorer from a season ago is returning to the Northeast Generals.
The Generals have announced the return of 2005-born forward Rich Rucireto for the remainder of the season after starting the year in the BCHL.
Rucireto was named the NAHL’s East Division Rookie of the Year and to the All-Rookie First Team after leading the Generals with 68 points (29g-39a) while playing in all 59 games. His 68 points also ranked 9th among league leaders, while his 29 goals ranked 8th.
The NCAA DIV I commit to Sacred Heart started the year in the BCHL and combined for 16 points (7g-9a) in 31 games split between the Victoria Grizzlies and Cranbrook Bucks.
Rucireto is projected to be in the starting lineup when the Generals take on the New Hampshire Mountain Kings tonight (Jan 31) at the Canton Ice House.
