The Northeast Generals are humbled to announce the hiring of Matt Dibble as our new General Manager. Along with the hiring the Generals announce a restructure of the Hockey Operations Department.
Matt joins the Generals after many years in the NAHL in various roles. Matt is also the General Manager and Owner of Roc City Elite. Roc City is the premier summer and showcase program in the Country. Hundreds of players have passed through Roc City on their way to both NCAA Hockey and Pro Hockey.
Head Coach Bryan Erikson has signed a contract extension to remain as Head Coach for the next several years. Bryan will also take on the role of President of Hockey Operations and will work in conjunction with Matt in building the Generals program into one of the premier programs in all of North America.
As the General Manager, Matt will be responsible for building a strong Camp presence, the management of the Scouting staff, the Generals affiliate list, the dissemination of tenders, and running the Generals draft board. He will work with with Bryan Erikson on building the roster from the ground up and continuously accessing the Generals performance and looking for ways to improve the roster.
Erikson said of Matt Dibble, “The hiring of Matt is a huge day for our organization for both the present and the future. Matt is simply the best in the business at identifying talent and helping players grow both on and off the ice. The most important part of our culture is the way in which we treat players. Matt’s values align perfectly with our organizational goals for our players both on and off the ice. Matt is a great person who also happens to have a great hockey mind. His Roc City program is the best in the business and the addition of Matt will take the Generals to an entire new level. The organization is incredibly proud to be adding someone of Matt’s character to our program, and personally I can’t wait to work with Matt on continuing to push this organization into greatness.”
Additionally, the Northeast Generals are excited to welcome New York Scout Greg Przystal who will bring a ton of experience Coaching some of the top players in New York. His longtime affiliation with Matt Dibble will help him hit the ground running immediately as he looks to help the Generals finish strong in 2020-21 and build the program for the future.

The way in which we go about our business, how we treat players and the pride our players have in being a General. These hiring’s will push the Generals to a new level on the ice while maintaining our commitment to treating all players with respect and loyalty.”
