The Northeast Generals proud members of the North American Hockey League are extremely proud to announce that Colin Bilek has signed to play professional hockey within the Winnipeg Jets organization.
Colin, the first Captain in Northeast Generals history, is coming off a historic career at West Point. He was the first player in program and league history to be named All American 2 times in his career. He finished his NCAA career with 43 goals, 50 assists and 93 points.
“What Colin has done in hockey is amazing. He came to the Generals as an expansion franchise, went through a tough first year but kept the locker room focused on improvement. He came back in year 2 and was on a mission from day 1. He has earned every single thing he has received. He has been given nothing. 1 NAHL tender offer, signed and now his number is retired. 1 NCAA offer and he set records at that school. He will be a fantastic professional hockey player because he just wins, out works everyone and is a tremendous person. The Generals couldn’t be prouder of Colin and can’t wait to watch him play at the next level.” said Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
Colin joins several former Gens in professional hockey but is the first to sign a direct deal with a NHL Organization.
