After dropping the first 3 games of the NAHL showcase the Generals faced a huge task. In front of them stood the defending NAHL champ Aberdeen Wings.
The Generals would jump out to a 1-0 lead midway through period one on a Cade Destefani goal (1).
Aberdeen would tie the game at 1 with a goal with 1:18 left in period 2 and the teams would enter the 3rd tied 1-1.
With their backs against the walls the Generals would play their best period of the year but both teams goalies would make tremendous saves to keep the score knotted at 1-1. But Trevor Smith would score his 3rd goal of the year with 3:13 left in the game for a Generals 2-1 victory and they were able to leave the NAHL Showcase on a high note.
