Northeast Generals Assistant Captain Ricky Boysen has committed to play his College Hockey at Trinity College.
Boysen, a Pennsylvania native, is in his 2nd season with the Generals. Prior to joining the Generals Boysen played a season in the NAHL with Odessa before joining the Generals for the last 2. In his 2 seasons with the Generals Ricky played 95 games and had 21 goals, 28 assists for 49 points. Ricky proved to be a big time player scoring 8 Game Winning Goals with 7 of his 13 goals this year being of the game winning variety.
“Ricky is easily one of my favorite kids I have ever coached. He came to us two years ago and has made an incredible mark on our organization both on and off the ice. He is one of those players that does everything. He blocks shots, finishes checks, penalty kill, power play, you name it. He is invaluable to our success. The boys love him as does the entire staff. He is the first to volunteer off the ice and the first to put in extra work on the ice. So proud of Ricky for his commitment. Excited to see how he continues to impact the people around him. Ricky has a very bright future both on and off the ice.” said Generals Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
Trinity plays in the NESCAC conference at the NCAA Division III level. He will join former General standout Gerard Marretta who will be a sophomore for the Bantams.
