Boudon Commits To Lake Superior State!

Oct 17, 2017

The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that star forward Louis Boudon has committed to play hockey at Lake Superior State.

Boudon came to the Northeast Generals as  their NA3HL tender after spending a season with the Metro Jets.  In 46 games with the Jets, Boudon put up amazing numbers.  Finishing the year with 38 goals and 43 assists for 81 points.   The amazing season was good enough for a slew of awards including NA3HL MVP.  He additionally was named to the NA3 first team, named East Division Forward of the Year and named to the All-NA3HL First Team.

With the Jets Louis was Coached by Justin Quenneville (2016-2017 NA3HL Coach Of The Year).  Coach Quenneville loved having Louis as part of his team.   “We would like to congratulate Louis on his commitment and wish him the best of luck moving forward.  Louis is a special player and truly put in the work available here to develop his skillset.  He has a bright future and the Generals staff did a great job recognizing his potential early last year.  Louis is a great example of the opportunities available at the NA3HL and NAHL, and now he gets to play Division 1 hockey at LSSU.”  said Coach Quenneville.

Louis was able to parlay his great NA3HL season into an early tender by the Northeast Generals.  “Our Director Of Midwest Scouting Cory Hunt put the bug in my ear early that Louis was the player we were looking for.  And Cory sure was right.  He has been everything we had hoped he would be and a lot more.”  said Generals GM Bryan Erikson.

“Louis has come in and worked his tail off since day one,” said Generals Head Coach Joe Lovell.  “He has started out the season in tremendous fashion (leading the league in points through 15 games with 7 goals, 12 assists for 19 points).  Obviously when you put up numbers scouts will come and watch you play.  But Louis is more than his numbers as he works hard and is a great teammate.  We are excited for Louis and proud that he has earned the commitment to play D1 College hockey.”

Erikson added “Our goal as an organization is to put players in a position to showcase their talents.  It is great that Louis received his commitment so early.  We have a ton of guys that will follow him soon.  We look forward to watching Louis and his teammates continue to develop this year.”
