The Northeast Generals are excited to announce the tendering of Boston Advantage forward Jack Ring for the 2019-2020 season. The 6’4″ Hingham, MA native has been a standout for the Advantage in the T1EHL and the ECEL leagues over the past 4 seasons. Ring has 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points so far this season in the T1EHL and ECEL Hockey Leagues.

Joe Lovell, Northeast Generals Head Coach had this to say about Ring, “We are really excited for Jack. He has played his entire hockey career with the Advantage and it is great to see how much he has developed both on and off the ice. He is a big kid that is extremely fast and has the ability to get in on the forecheck quickly and create havoc for opposing teams defenses. He has also grown into a 200 foot player that can put the puck in the net and he will be a huge addition for us next year.”

General Manager Bryan Erikson added, “The Lovell Hockey organization has continued to be an amazing pipeline (17 plus players) for us over the past 3 years. Jack is the latest example of a player that has gone through their organization and joined the Generals. We feel he is one of the best players in the best Midget league  in the Country. Jack’s speed and size will be a huge asset to our team. Jack actually came to my father’s (Ron Erikson) camp from 6 – 11 (Hockey Plus! in Rockland, MA) and I had the good fortune to Coach him at a young age so it’s great to see the development from a personal stand point. We also love the patience he has had in his development. He has stuck with the Boston Advantage, done their skills, the summer combine and camps and taken the approach to work on his game instead of hopping from program to program. It is not a coincidence to why he has so much NCAA D1 interest right now.”

Ring has already played 2 games with the Generals this year as an Affiliate Player and has 1 assist.
