The Northeast Generals are excited to announce that Forward Shawn Montgomery has committed to play NCAA hockey at Suffolk University.
Montgomery, from Natick, MA, is a long time Lovell Hockey player. He played for the Boston Advantage for 3 season with 1 for the U16 T1EHL team and 2 with the U18 T1EHL team. The 2017-2018 season was Montgomery’s first in the NAHL.
“Shawn did a great job us this past year. He has a ton of skill and has great speed. He has been a very good scorer at every place he has played and this year he was asked a lot. He was asked to play a role he hasn’t played before and he bought in and did a great job. He was a veteran presence in the locker room. The guys looked up to him and he helped keep everybody on track.” said Generals Head Coach Joe Lovell.
Shawn will attend Suffolk University in the fall. The Rams play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and return a young team in hopes to compete for a league title.
“We are very excited about Shawn being a big part of our program” said Suffolk Assistant Coach John Burgess.
