The Northeast Generals are extremely excited to announce the tender signing of Minnesota star forward Connor Bizal. Connor currently plays at Elk River High School where he is 4th in Class 2A in scoring with 14 goals, 22 assists and 36 points.
“We are very excited to sign Connor. He is a high end player who sees the ice so well. He is very smart with the puck and even better away from the puck which can go unnoticed, but is very important at the next level. He has a history of playing on a line with Division 1 commits and is a big part of one of the best lines in Minnesota. Connor will slot into any top line in the NAHL and elevate his line-mate’s game. He isn’t afraid to go to the dirty areas and constantly creates scoring chances below the dots. Connor is a high character kid and is committed in the classroom with a very high GPA and ACT score. Connor is already getting some D1 attention and that interest will grow exponentially next year with the Generals.” said Director of Midwest Scouting Cory Hunt.
Connor on why he chose the Generals:
“I chose the Generals because it is an all-around great organization. I like the staff and it is cool to see how much growth the team has had since they joined the league. I also love the Boston area, so I am really excited.”
Connor on his strengths as a player:
“My strengths as a player are my work ethic, my shot, and my decision making. I try my best to win battles everywhere on the ice.”
Connor on his goals as a player:
“My future goals are to succeed at the junior hockey level and then play Division 1 college hockey. My ultimate goal is to get a good education while playing for a college.’
“With the signing of Connor we have added to an already impressive class of tenders for next year. It is great to be able to compete at a high level now while also signing players of Connor’s ability to ensure we are successful for years to come. We can’t wait to get Connor in a Generals uniform.”
