The Sweden invasion for the Northeast Generals continues. After the previous tendering of Swedish standout Sixten Jennersjö the Generals followed it up with the tendering of towering Swedish D man Douglas Friberg.
The 6’3″ 200lb Right Shot D man will man the blueline in 2021-22. Douglas played for Djurgårdens IF J20 and in 14 games he has been dominant with 2 goals, 3 assists and 5 points with a staggering +10 in the top league in Sweden.
“Douglas has been one of our top targets for a long time. He is a very high end D man that will slot right into our top pair next year. We are extremely excited to be adding Douglas to the Generals and look forward to him joining the team next year.” Said General Manager Matt Dibble.
