Power Forward Phelps signs tender with the Generals

Nov 29, 2019

The Northeast Generals are excited to announce the tender signing of 6’3 Power Forward Caeden Phelps.  Phelps plays at the prestigious Academy of Holy Angels in Minnesota.

Phelps, who was named Captain for the 2019-2020 season, is coming off a Junior year in which he had 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points.  He was 3rd on the team in Points and his 17 goals were good for 2nd on the team, helping lead the Stars to a 19-7 record before a loss in the Quarter Finals.

Phelps looks to build off his breakout Junior season this year and has gotten off to a hot start.  In the Star’s first game of the year Phelps had his first career Hat trick and also added 2 assists for a 5 point game in the opener which his team won.

The bruising Forward will bring a lethal shot, a team first mentality and a willingness to take the body to the Northeast Generals 2020-2021 team.

“I have gotten to know Caeden over that last few years and he’s a great kid.  His improvement year to year has been astounding.  He works extremely hard on his game and is very eager to learn.  We talked a lot about improving his footwork which he has and continues to do.  He still needs to continue the upward trajectory of his game but with the type of kid he is we are very confident that he will continue to get better everyday.  He has a great shot and a very quick release and it’s extremely accurate.  We will be losing a lot of size on the right side of our offense next year and it’s great to have Caeden waiting in the wings to help off set those losses.  Really excited to add him to our organization.”  Said Generals GM and Head Coach Bryan Erikson.

Phelps is the 7th player tendered for the Generals so far for the 2020-2021 season.  He joins Goalie Connor Bradford, Forwards Anthony Messuri, Jonny Hammel, Kolye Bankauskas, John Musella and Defenseman Adam Smith.
